I have lived in Berkley Hills since August of 2004 and my experiences have been worse than any other community I've ever associated with. Kerry and Diane were the only leasing agents that were pleasant to deal with. The manager, Lisa, is very rude and condesending. I have had nothing but problems with my unit. The central heat/air continuously goes out. It took 4 months and 20 degree weather before they took action after spending the remainder of the summer with my apartment reaching over 90 degrees and the thermostat set on 70. Smells from neighboring units continually creep into my apartment due to lack of insulation. You can see right through the door jam. They did not place peep holes or chains on the doors so you don't know who is knocking on the other side. Maintance fixes things quick, but cheaply and to last short term. Noise levels are high and loitering in the parking lot is tolerated. You can park in the no parking zones and nothing will happen making it difficult to get out of your space especially if you live near the laundry facilities. The dumpsters are on every corner making it difficult to see and manuever without hitting an oncoming car or child. Complete blindspots. I am moving as soon as my lease is up.

Honestly, the only complaints I've seen on this site have been from people that cause trouble themselves. We have a wonderful 24 hour maintenance staff, a towing service, and loitering is not tolerated at all.

o by the way the have a 24 hour # to call for maintenance and if your unit is not burning to the groud you can forget about maintenance for the night...

Fortunately when I made all of my complaints to fix what should have been fixed upon first notice...I kept all records and had even forward them onto the property owners. I am a former tenant of Berkley Hills and strongly discourage other looking to run from this property.
