Stay away from ALL properties managed by FREEMAN WEBB!!!! BAD MANAGEMENT would be an understatement! My roommate and I lived at another property managed by them in Madison TN. We had a burglary and they would not fix the door. The whole door frame was coming apart. We threatened to cut the lease. A few representatives came from Freeman Webb and said it was not their job to keep us safe, but to collect our money! We then had to threaten a lawsuit with pictures of the damage done that they did not fix. Oh, and I had doctor bills b/c of bad allergies b/c they would not fix the mold in the tub/shower, and I had those with me as well. Finally they fixed those probs after several months! NEVER rent from FREEMAN WEBB!

I don't know. I moved in in 2005 during my divorce. It was cheap and quiet. Management was polite and took time to show me around. All of my problems while at Dupont Avenue involved water. Water heater went out and water was everywhere. It took them until the next day to fix the problem and I had to sleep in a place where I was unable to shut the water off. Upstairs neighbor had plumbing problems and water dripped from the ceiling and it took 24 hours to get someone to look at that. Maintenance is usually "I'll take a look at it tomorrow",so,if it's an emergency, expect to wait until office hours.
Rent was cheap in the beginning. No frills and all one bedroom apartments. All ground level apartments are "garden" apartments, which is nice to have your door exit outside instead of a hallway like all second floor apartments do. Noise level is so-so. Some residents blast their music day anad night and some sit in their cars in front of the apartments with their car stereo's subwoofers jarring the windows and doors. Parking is tight,so expect door dings and scratches. I hate the parking. The laundry room is small, but cheap. Wish it was better. Just 6 washers and 6 dryers. If you hit the laundry on a busy day, it'll be a while before you can do laundry.
As I said,in the beginning, rent was cheap. It slowly climbed by about $25 a month every year. Suddenly, it jumped $80 per month and I was told "We are keeping up with the local rental rates" and residents were sent notices that "if you can't afford to pay your rent, you need to find another place to live". How nice of them to care. You'd think they'd want to keep residents that have been there for a while, but it's all about the money.
There is no pool,no clubhouse and no gym. Madison Park is close by and residents can go there, but so can anyone else. I fail to see the big deal.
If you can afford the rent and don't mind the slow maintenance responsses, this may be the place for you. Expect friendly, smiling faces when you first move in,but don't be late on rent or that will change.
As for me, I'm looking for another home. An $80 jump in rent is too much for me to afford.
If you move in,ask for a ground level apartment. Don't expect to be able to park in front of your door, however. And be aware of the possibilities of door dings and scratches to your car. It will happen. Give it time. Get yourself a "hooptie" where it won't matter. Be sure and get a big subwoofer, while you're at it. You'll fit in just fine.
