this place is an awful place to live, both because of the negligence of the staff, and the quality of the residents. expect to place numerous calls to the office before anything gets fixed, we are still calling about problems that popped up a year ago. expect your mail to be unprotected or, as most of the mailboxes do not lock and close. so be prepared to go hunt down your bills across the parking lot on a windy day. there is virtually no lights illuminating the parking lots at night, aside from a light by the office, which makes you feel oh-so-safe. The parking spots are also quite narrow for any vehicle larger than a compact, so my car has acquired a set of dents from people who cannot fit their trucks into the spaces properly. It's useless to use the sidewalks, because they don't connect to one another. Every grassy area has a coating of dog feces, as there are hundreds of dogs here with owners who will not obey leash laws or waste removal laws. It's not uncommon to be greeted by both strays and dogs that just get tossed outside without supervision. The management seems to want to "beautify" the outside of these old buildings with new shutters and paint, but then refuse to fix problems inside the units. There are a lot of families here too, so be aware of careless children running in the roads, or sitting on your car smoking, or the ice cream truck that has the music on repeat in february. People aren't friendly, which makes it impossible to solve disputes like adults. Noise level is outrageous between music and children screaming and dogs barking. Any calls to the office go unheeded, although I will say the current manager is very helpful, but its a crapshoot to get her on the phone. Lastly, they've started putting up a "RENT IS PAST DUE--ATTACH LATE FEES" sign outside the office a day after rent is due. Just an insult to the people who actually pay on time.
