I never recieved a notice about not having a real christmas tree. I, like just about every other person in the world went the day after thanksgiving to splurge and let my children pick out a big beautiful christmas tree to bring home and lovingly light up and decorate. Now over a week later i recieve a notice on my door stating that real trees are "prohibited" and that random's will be conducted to make sure people are complying. This is crap to me. They wait until after people get their real trees to tell us we cant. i have lived in many apartments throughout the years and i have never been unable to have a real christmas tree for my kids. i work hard and money is tight but i managed to spend 50 dollars on this big tree and now i have to throw it away and dissapoint my kids' thats not fair. they should have let us know way before thanksgiving if they are going to have stupid rules like this. Are they going to reimburse me for the money I spent so i can at least get my children one of the fake piece of crap unrealistic trees they sell' If not then im not going to be able to have one and put presents under it. They have all these crap policies and keep adding to them without letting people know. If id of known this before id moved in i would not be living there now.

being that you stated you have lived in other apartments and couldn't have a live tree then i would have thought that these apartment probably would be the same, but who knows you would think that no big dog allowed either but they are

You aren't allowed to have live trees because of fire codes. When you live this close to others, fires can spread extremely quick. You wouldn't want someone that lives in your building doing something that would put your life and personal belongings at risk would you?
