I have personal knowledge of a Nursing Student who was abducted by three men from the Arbors of Harbor Town in front of her very own apartment in 1993. She was then horribly tortured and murdered.
Has any effort been made to improve security by providing Video surveillence in every parking lot at the Arbors' Is there a gated entry with 24 hour security in place'
Her abductors stated upon their arrest that they had attempted to abduct someone earlier that same evening and were deterred by the video surveillence in place in the parking lot of the other site they were casing. Apparently the lack of security at the Arbors was just what they were looking for.
Don't you feel you owe it to your residents to provide the utmost safety they deserve' This girl was only 23 years old and her mother was inside her apartment at the Arbors, waiting for her to come home.
Until the security measures are greatly improved at the Arbors I would recommend that no one put their lives in danger by choosing that location in which to live.

Do you even live there? It happened in 1993, you stated so yourself, I was three then, and I'm looking at these apartments for my mother and I. I am home all day by myself because I am homeschooled, so safety is a definite must. But you must remember, it is now 2006, safety measures almost everywhere are improving.

This place seems like heaven compared to some of the complexes I've seen, including the one I live in now (Watergrove). One major crime in the past 13 years is as good as no crime when you consider how much goes on in other complexes.

In 1993, Harbor Town was just beginning and it was still mostly a barren wasteland with packs of wild dogs roaming around down there. This was a horrible crime, but the population is much more dense down there now, and awareness of one's surroundings is always a good deterrent. It's a shame that you bring this up as an example.
