After completing a "1 million dollar renovation" in which the only benefit was the trash chute, they are going section 8. Althought Blair is the only decent apartment near UT Memphis, I would stay away... With section 8 people moving in it isn't going to be the safest place or have the best residents. The management is very bad, especially the assistant manager Jenny, although the maintenence staff is great. They are now charging 50 dollars to park and if you don't pay that, good luck finding a spot on the perimeter. There is also a cockroach infestation that can't be tamed even by weekly sprayings and roach motels. The utilities are very expensive, and you don't have any control on the temperature heat or cooling - so for most of the year you are either freezing or sweating! They are always doing weird repairs that last for weeks and are very disruptive. My wall has cracks in it and mold grows on the walls in the bathroom and in my hallway because of leaks they have never fixed. Also, at night you constantly hear police sirens, ambulences, and fights occuring outside. Also they are rasing the rent to 740... that is way too much to pay. I would look somewhere else!
