I signed a lease for 6 months, out of the 6 months, I only lived there for 4 months due to relocating to another state. A few days prior to turning my keys in I returned to Memphis to make sure the apartment was in order to ensure no problems. The apartment was clean enough they could have rented it as is, but to my dismay, they came up with all kinds of bogus charges only offering to return $17 out of $100 deposit. When I requested a walk thru there were two attendants in the office, but neither offered to do walk thru. They took the keys and informed me they would have to check it later on that day or the next. Of course, I didn't have time to try to make them check because I had to get back on the road. It's not a matter of the $100 deposit, it just the way they conducted business, which was not handled in a professiional manner. The apartment did not come with new carpet, but carpet that was on it's last strands, and they had the nerve to charge $65 for deep cleaning. No matter how deep they clean that carpet, they just needed to do the right thing and replace it. They also charged $10 indicating the kitchen was nasty. I can assure you the kitchen was spotless. In the kitchen, the ceiling appeared to have had previous water damage, because you could see where the sheet rock had been replaced. The walls are very thin you could hear practically everything going on in the next townhomes. The water bugs or flying roaches are really bad. They also claim that the pest control people spray every Tuesday, what they don't tell you is you have to put your name on a list for them to come. I requested my name be placed on the list, but they never sprayed. I would not recommend these apartment townhomes to anyone. They are not honest and can't be trusted. But if you do I advise you to take pictures and check every crack.
