Can't say I agree. I moved in Feb. '07 and got a 1 month free rent premium. The worst "bargain" I ever made. I moved out last month - I only stayed 10 months of my 12 months lease (although I have to pay for all 12, minus the free month's rent).
Yes, they have good maintenance. They better - things are so decrepit and broken down that if they did not CONSTANTLY attend to it, it would be completely ghetto, not just partly, as it is now.
I made more maintenance requests to them than anyplace else I've EVER lived, and I've been in apts now for 17 years on and off. The hot tub is "lukewarm" at best. The pool has had worms in it that got in from outside. The outdoor pool is operated on a very limited basis even though the warm weather season is quite long. The trash container is too small for the sheer mass of humans using it. The "covered parking" is some crappy tin roofs over posts, and having assigned numbered parking is the dumbest thing they ever did, as it just makes for towing calls and angry tenants not getting their "spot" - also, it is narrow parking and my truck wouldn't fit well.
I'm for diversity, but I didn't like the class of people I lived by there. They are young & have many children. Then you have the "ghetto blasters" and the "drive through" traffic. It's loud there and drunken people in the parking lot making noise and busting beer bottles is common. Break-ins to cars is also common.
The neighbors were not so friendly.
The laundry really sucked as it had a lot of broken machines and is far from your apt. so you have to lug all your clothes across a busy intersection - the one where all traffic comes into the front - it's as busy as a public street!
Finally, let me say that the cockroaches there are utterly repulsive and completely out of control.
I will never return there, thank the powers that be, and hope I shall never experience such a terrible living arrangement again.
Signed,
Disappointed, Moved to Cordova

I wonder if the person who wrote this review is the girl that works in the office.
