I stayed here briefly with a roomate in between roomate situations. Look do yourself a favor if you want to stay in this area lease across the street at Greenbrook. Their staff is much more helpful and available. The ladies in the leasing office at Canterbury seem to have an attitude that implies they think they are better then you. They don't care about your situation or your maintence issues. Good luck gettint any assistances. As for their floor plans they suck. They are very plain and feel like a box with stackable washer and dryers which cost out the butt to rent. The friend that I was staying with wised up and moved to Greenbrook himself after my girl and I signed our lease. As a result we were hooked up with a sweet little referral fee.

In response to the comment before this, I've lived at Canterbury Woods for a while and for the most part things have been cool. Never had any problems with the office staff, as a matter of fact, they've actually went above and beyond what I've asked them to do. No apartment complex is perfect. They all have their issues from time to time. What do you expect? If you're looking for more-buy a house. Oh and by the way -they don't even have stackable washers and dryers. Whoever wrote this comment must be talking about a different apartment complex.

I lived at Canterbury for a minute. It was cool...if you can put up with a few noisy tenants hanging outside at all hours. The washer and dryer didnt cost that much-- $25 bucks or so, but it might have went up since I was there. The staff was...ok. they weren't the friendliest but I didnt have to see them much. However, the maintance guy was very "friendly" to me and kinda creeped me out that he had keys to my apartment. The most annoying thing, honestly, was the parking. I am married and they only allot for one reserved parking sticker. I had to park a long way from my apartment and walk. If I got off work late, it made me a little uncomfortable, but there was never an incident. We also had a brief stay...only about a year.

I lived here about 2 years ago. A roommate and myself moved in August of 2007. Everything started out fine. All the office help was very nice and very helpful. About 2 weeks after we moved in and had paid our first month's -rent and pro-rated amount we get a notice saying we only had 3 days to pay our rent or we were going to be evicted. What happened was the lady in the office stole our money order for our first payment and we got screwed on it. It ended up costing us a BUNCH more money (close to $200) in late fees and everything else that they never once tried to mitigate for us. We ended up finishing out our year lease with little to no other problems with them until time to move out. They slapped us with a $180 bill for things that we put in our initial report as wrong with the apartment (blinds bent, kitchen drawer broken, walls had dents and dings) but they still tried charging us!! I told them we refused to pay and we eventually came to an understanding that I wouldn't pay but they wouldn't reimburse our late fees from the mess-up at the beginnning. Well, sure enough, about a year ago I noticed that the $180 was reported to my credit as an unpaid bill and has negatively impacted me. I finally tried to just pay them to get it all cleared up and they would only take a money order. I mailed it to them and they STILL say they never recieved it and I still have the amount on my credit. For me, this whole thing has been just awful. It might not be the same for everyone, but do yourself a favor and check around before moving in here.

I have lived a Canterbury Woods for several years now and have always found the office staff to be incredibly sweet- even when I pay my rent late! I agree with the first person to reply, the washer and dryer I rent is the full set and not the stackable. Not to mention I only pay $25 monthly to rent them. Sure I could buy a set for cheaper but if you had done your homework you would know that most rental places charge like $40 to rent the set monthly, so your actually getting a break. Parking is a bit of an issue sometimes but if you think about it any apartment community is going to have things you love and things you hate. If you waste all your time focused on what you hate about it you are only going to make yourself more miserable and therefore percieve the whole year of your stay as miserable. I also recieved a resident referral when a friend moved into Canterbury, and I got $300 off of my rent the following month!! I think that is more than generous :) I have lived across the Street at Greenbrook, but I swear I would never do it again. It may be cheaper, but its not safer and the maintenace staff is nowhere near as courteous and timely as at Canterbury. I will probably be staying where I am for a while- until i buy a home of my own. But I truly think you are confusing Canterbury with The Arbors next door, I have looked at there floorplans before and I know they have stackable washer and dryers and I think they are like $30 a month.... you do the math!
