I recommend without reservations

Edison Apartments include one high-rise building and a number of small buildings. I lived in one of those small buildings for one year (I can't stand high-rise buildings) and just moved out after one year, because I had to move out of Memphis. If I didn't have to move out of Memphis, I would have definitely renewed my rent at Edison. It has a very convenient location (10 min walk to Downtown and 10 min walk to the University of Tennessee); it has a very good management (Spencer is a very nice guy); it's inexpensive ($460/month for 1BR); quiet and safe. This year (2006) I have yet to see a roach in my apartment (I saw maybe 5-6 in 2005, but that's all).
I recommend Edison's small buildings without any reservations. I can't say anything about the Edison's high-rise building, because I would never consider living in any high-rise buildings ever;
but that's just me.
