I knew the rate at Edison Apartment, Memphis, because I have a friend living there. The staff (Emanuel) gave me a good price just as much as my friend pays, but he raised the rate for $70 dollars (from $460 to $530)per month just before I was ready to sign the lease. The bad thing is that they won't give the deposit back (totally I paid $202 including fees and deposit). What they argued is that they had put the apartment on hold, but I had never saw that place (only a smaller model). I was planning to take a look at the apartment I would live in first and then sign the lease. They insisted that they told me the rate from the beginning, and my friend got a promotion rate (not available now). Well, if anyone knows how much a friend pays there, will he or she agree to pay even $1 more than that, honestly' I would turn around and go to another better place, since there are plenty of good places around. Also, my friends told me that residents got robbed there.

I would pay more for the really good place, but not deal with liars.
