Poor location, poor service, horrendous parking--but pretty

The management here is clearly not out to serve the renters. They're nice on the surface until you actually need something. Then things go down hill quickly. Everything is very much by the books, as well. Well, except when they leave. I've rushed over to the apartments several times after work, only to find the office closed and locked at 5:25 PM.
There is nothing great about this place. The rather pedestrian landscaping is laughable, the construction work next door goes on endlessly and begins early in the morning (joy! joy!). You've got a very lovely view of half-completed homes all-around--also small units crammed in as closely as they can fit. Of course, all the dirt and dust from that new construction and the accompanying barren land floats up and gingerly covers your balcony in soot. Ah, yes! And how could I forget the factory that seems intent on making a racket at 2 AM when you really need a good night's sleep!!' There's the whole spider infestation problem, as well. Yes, they're everywhere--in multiple apartment buildings.
I also couldn't recommend the place for a student. A friend of mine found it impossible to fit his bed, dresser, and desk in his room. They're not that spacious.
One final note: parking. How nice is it to come back from a VERY long day at the office, grab some dinner, and come home to find that you're going to have to walk 5 minutes to your apartment--while you're wishing to carry several boxes of documents that far and then up two flights of stairs'
Yes, it's terrible. They know it's terrible. And once every two months, they'll go so far as to put a little orange sticker on the car of violators! Now THAT's enforcement!! (*rolls eyes*)
The interiors are pretty, though. Nice arches, high ceilings, very nice kitchen. Too bad everything else is less than adequate.
(Oh yeah, utilities are actually pretty good here. Low power bills, as the insulation and windows seem to be pretty good.)

I have lived at the Estates at River Point (ERP) for a year and have never had a problem. I lived in a 2 bed room for 6 months and I've been in a 1 bedroom for the past 6 months. I've lived on Mud Island for a total of 3 years and it is beautiful. ERP is not the best location on the island because they are the last apartments on the island but there is an advantage in that you can take the back way off of the island, which is quicker in the mornings. I believe that these apartments are the newest on the island, very spacious, and clean. Maintenance is awesome and quick to fix problems. The pool is very nice and always clean during the summer and the gym has new machines. I've lived in another apartment complex on the Island, which I also liked however my energy bill at ERP is much cheaper than at the other place. My only complaint would be that I live on the first floor and sometimes I do have bug problems but as soon as I call, someone comes out to spray. |
