My wife and I have lived in the apartment for a few months, and with the exception of a minor Air conditioning problem. we have had no major issues. Even with the AC problem, it was fixed in a timely manner considering they had to order a part and it occured over a weekend, but they did offer to put us in one of the furnished places until it was fixed. After reading all of the other reviews, I wonder if the people who write them were ever in another apartment complex....the garage gate IS always broken, but that happens in virtually every complex I've ever seen. Granted, there are beer bottles everywhere, but you're downtown and there are a lot of younger people, so that's to be expected--perhaps I don't mind because I'm in my mid-20's myself. With the exception of a neighbor who says that myself or my wife makes too much noise and one girl in my building who always looks like she's pissed off, everyone has been very cool in my building. I like living downtown, I'm assuming most people who move there do so for the same reason, and the problems that come with downtown living should be anticipated before you sign your lease.
