I have been reading some of these comments and it is nice to know I wasn't the only one who had issues. I had severe maitance problems and problems with roaches in the building and rats in the courtyards. People would leave there trash out in the hall ways etc. Due to numerous issues I moved out and broke my lease. Echelon tried to sue me for $5600 and we went to court. They ended up settling for $1200 which was worth it to get out of the lease. Everyone who has issues should find documentation in Tennessee's Residential Landlord Tenant Act. You have rights and if you document your issues and they are in violation of that Act you can get out of your lease. Check it out

I tried to get help from the Memphis Fair Housing Authority to get out of my lease because I had gottern a new job and they were charging me almost $6000 in fees for breaking my lease. They were of no help- and the Ecelon managers were unsympathetic. However $6000 was a bargin to get out of Memphis and the Echelon
