Take pics when you move in and when you move out - You're still not getting your deposit back, but you'll be able to dispell their lies when they try to bill you 4 months after you leave.
Also, take note that these apartments have had more people rate them than any other downtown apartment - and the overall outcome of the ratings is not good (no doubt because residents feel the need to vent their frustrations). Management: You REALLY need to take some of the suggestions and gripes to heart and see if you can't improve your relationship with the good tenants at least. It's what apartment management is all about - keeping good tenants. If a lot of people are unhappy, maybe there's something to it.
We enjoyed the apartment and the residents, but the Office staff made us feel like they were doing us a favor allowing us to live there (The housekeeping and maintenance staff changed on a regular basis but were always professional, friendly and helpful. Office staff came and went on a pretty regular basis, but they just seemed to get more and more uninterested in making the residents feel like they were welcome and appreciated).
I agree that some residents need to be more responsible and clean up after themselves. I'm sure it's hard to keep up with every area every day.
All in all I enjoyed living downtown, but I believe that if I were going to rent again I'd find a place that appreciated a good tenant more. What a shame too, because they're pretty neat apartments.
