1. Robberies in the parking garage.
2. Thug tenants instead of the law and med students 2 years ago.
3. Beale Street cruisers all spring, fall and summer.
4. Neverending nightmare when you try to move out, even if you pay your rent, keep your place clean and give plenty of notice.
5. Condescending uprofessional staff.
6. Dog or person poop left in the landry room from Friday night at 8pm until Monday noon. Even after numerous calls to the emergency line.
7. Staff harrassing you if you peacefully drink a beer at the pool.
Dont be fooled by the pretty pool and nice new feel. Move to South Bluffs, its much safer and mgt is a lot easier to deal with.

I would have to disagree with FielderSquareCares. The building and grounds are NOT and I repeat NOT clean!! Do you even live here? The halls are grotesque-the floors are sticky in the lobby areas. No, cleaning up the entry way where potential residents might enter does not make it a clean building and grounds. Pulling up that nasty, stinky, dog urine and feces infested carpet in the halls and stairwells (if it had been properly buffed and cleaned on a regular basis this would not be so), mopping up (daily not monthly) the lobby floors to the elevators in the garage, and enforcing tenants to pick up after their pets all facilitate a clean residential area. No I will not slander Fielder Square for they have slandered themselves in the upkeep of the building. I pass the same trash on the floor day in and day out. I have lived in numerous communities where rent was much cheaper and they only had ONE person to clean the inside of the building and I never saw any filth. If there was a mess you better believe it was taken care of in the morning. What are we paying for Fielder Square residents!?? Also FielderSquareCares stop trying to prove yourself and your staff right and do something about it. If you REALLY cared you would ask for his/her phone or email to discuss these issues. To make sure that the clients who pay high a$$ rent are pacified. Would you to even speak with ME? I don't think so. Because in reality you truly DON'T CARE.

To Drudgery: We encourage anyone who has a complaint, an issue, or positive feedback to feel free to contact us. We are more than willing to talk to our residents. The problem is that many people do not call us when there is a problem. They just get upset and never try to get us involved to solve the problem. We cannot be in 20 places at one time, therefore we do rely on the residents to inform us about some of the issues that you wrote about. If we do not know there is a problem, then how can we fix it? Also residents have to take more pride in where they live. Stop littering! Stop spilling drinks in the hallways! Clean up behind your pets! We are willing to talk to any reasonable person. However we will not tolerate irate, belligerent, or irrational behavior from anyone. To proudresident07: Thank you being reasonable and understanding. So many people use apartmentratings.com to spread lies, and Over-exaggerate a situation. We hope that you will continue to live in our community and we will do our best to continue to make this a great place to live. |

To FielderSquarecares, Are you complementing proudresident07 because he or she is agreeing with you? One resident may be having a good experience while another one is having a bad one. That doesn't mak that resident less of a person or make them complaining. rent is high and a person has a right to say whatever they want when it's there money. I think there should some maturity on both parts in handling matters. I personally do not have a problem with the office staff and I think you all have been very attentive to my needs. |

Don't waste your time talking to "the management" or calling headquarters, they will not help you. They can care less about there tenants, all they want is your money on time. I do not fault the people in the office for not assisting the people with their problems. I understand that this is their job and you do not want to bite the hand that feeds you. However, "the management" and the people in corporate are horrible. I will never recommend for another person to live in this community or another community that is owned by these people. Honestly, after my lease is up, I will never rent from anyone again. I have been treated like less of a person by "the management". But at the end of the day, "the management" will never have the class and status that I have as a 23 year old educated black female. Maybe in a 5 years the management will be able to be on the level that I am at right now. To all the other non-management and non-corporate staff members keep doing what y'all are doing. If it wasn't for Heather and Carrie, I would have never moved here. And the new girl Beth is also very helpful. |

I've lived in Fielder Square for about 7 months, and I am, for the most part, quite satisfied. The only complaints I have are not with the staff, but with the residents who spill drinks in the elevators and don't clean up their doggie doodie. But c'mon, there will be people like that wherever you go. And having the money to afford an apartment at Fielder Square does not necessarily ensure that a person will have class and good home training. And as far as what the original post said about having beer by the pool, I rather appreciate the staff keeping an eye out, because I've gone by there after a group of no-class TRASH left beer bottles and cans all over the damn place, and nobody wants to pay as much as I pay in rent just to have your amenities trashed by people who don't appreciate or take care of what they have and wait on other people to clean up their messes.
Overall, Fielder Square is a good place to live if you like a lively urban atmosphere. It's like having a little corner of New York. Obviously it's downtown, so there will be city sounds around you. If you need constant peace and quiet, then move to Lakeland. Downtown is jumping and that's why I love living where I live. The sounds of the ballpark, being able to walk to the river or Beale Street after a long day at work, being near so many attractions and good restaurants and shopping- all within walking distance- are reasons why I love living at Fielder Square. Furthermore, the staff is friendly and helpful and the mainenance crew is prompt and thorough. Don't let one or two bitter residents who obviously thought downtown Memphis was a quiet, lakeside community give you the wrong idea about Fielder Square. It's beautiful, trendy, and in the heart of the city. And I'm glad to be living there.
