I posted this reply to one guy's message, but I think this deserves to be it's own post...
I've lived in Fielder Square for about 7 months, and I am, for the most part, quite satisfied. The only complaints I have are not with the staff, but with the residents who spill drinks in the elevators and don't clean up their doggie doodie. But c'mon, there will be people like that wherever you go. And having the money to afford an apartment at Fielder Square does not necessarily ensure that a person will have class and good home training. And as far as what the original post said about having beer by the pool, I rather appreciate the staff keeping an eye out, because I've gone by there after a group of no-class TRASH left beer bottles and cans all over the damn place, and nobody wants to pay as much as I pay in rent just to have your amenities trashed by people who don't appreciate or take care of what they have and wait on other people to clean up their messes.
Overall, Fielder Square is a good place to live if you like a lively urban atmosphere. It's like having a little corner of New York. Obviously it's downtown, so there will be city sounds around you. If you need constant peace and quiet, then move to Lakeland. Downtown is jumping and that's why I love living where I live. The sounds of the ballpark, being able to walk to the river or Beale Street after a long day at work, being near so many attractions and good restaurants and shopping- all within walking distance- are reasons why I love living at Fielder Square. Furthermore, the staff is friendly and helpful and the mainenance crew is prompt and thorough. Don't let one or two bitter residents who obviously thought downtown Memphis was a quiet, lakeside community give you the wrong idea about Fielder Square. It's beautiful, trendy, and in the heart of the city. And I'm glad to be living there.

LOL I'm glad you think so. No one "prompted" me. Was I too articulate to be a ginuine poster? My first degree was in English, so maybe that's what's to blame. Anyway, thank you for reading my review.

Very nice Experince in Fielder Square
My husband and I lived at Fielder Square from 10/2002 till 10/2005 when we bought a house on Mud Island. We only have the best things to say. The only complaint would be the fellow residents who do not pick up after their dogs or leave trash in the elevators. If you hate Memphis, move to Germantown. Living Downtown means some degree of nouse and traffic - that is called URBAN ENVIROMENT. If you don't like it, MOVE. Fielder Square cannot be to blame for the way Memphians behave when out on the town. If we had to move back into an apartment, we would move back to Fielder Square in a heart beat.
