I have lived here for more than 2 years. Even in the past year, things have gone from okay to horrible.

Gates in the garage are frequently broken and left open.

Keyless entries at front doors consistently broken (the offices response: "You can get into your building still-go to the parking garage building's entrance, take the elevator up, walk through the garage, and then use one of the bridges to get into your building. Sorry, nothing we can do about it.").

Broken glass throughout hallways-from dropped containers, broken hallway lights, etc.

Pet droppings throughout sidewalks, hallways, stairways, and garage (not just for a day but for weeks-one pile sat *inside* a building for 2 months!).

As someone else mentioned, the fire alarms work great-especially when residents and or other guests pull them or decide to spray the fire extinguisher all over the building ("sorry, it will be cleaned up in a few days. We don't have the key.."). Anyways, it's a great way to meet your neighbors, waiting for the fire department to shut off the alarm.

Maintenance is friendly on the property but not when you call the emergency number after hours/weekends ("Nothing we can do about that until Monday, call back then. CLICK."). Takes 3-4 phone calls/request to have them come out and/or to properly fix a problem.

Hallways and entryways are never clean. It's just gross and loud (I expected noise in downtown but not dorm/fraternity house noise like it has become over the past year). A favorite feature is the random smells in the hallway-not really coming from a specific apartment but just a different odor that greets you each day. They replaced the carpeting and flooring in the hallways and elevators-one hallway in the building had a leak where water would appear and just sit, they laid down new carpet over it. The area is now regularly soaked with water-smells horrible.

Front office is not helpful. Not overly rude but not friendly...definitely not business like or professional. Not worth the price-pay over $1000-actual value $500.

Very sad, I love downtown but am looking elsewhere.
