I have lived here for a few months and have enjoyed most of my stay. i have complained of a few maintenance issues and had them resolved only for them to be broken again. The previous reviewer was right and half of the electrical outlets work in my apartment, not impressive, but not to bad i guess. I've also had mail stolen whether it was in my mailbox or not, I'm not sure, but don't have your birthday cards mailed here unless your willing to sign for it from the fed-ex guy at your door.
This is my biggest disappointment. i have met a good friend here and because of the high price of living here, we have decided to try and get a two bedroom(half-way through our contracts, leases, whatever ) and split the cost of living to save money overall. I want to move out of my noisy one bedroom on the street, thats right in front of a streetlight, to a two bedroom thats off the street and more likely a lot darker at night. So to do this there is $300 vacating fee, a 88$ deposit for the new place that we want to move into(which is reasonable and understandable) and to top it all off a $125 admin redecoration fee. Really, they need a $125 extra cause they want spending money for the weekend! It was conveniently added after being discussed multiple times that it would take 400$ already to move into a new place. Ohh, they want it from each of us as well. So figure 4 ladies, upfront, working the desk, splitting $500 per customer living here already, so they can pocket 250$ a piece. So its not enough that we are signing a new contract and they will be making more money from us, longer, but they have to kick us in the proverbial junk and charge you for it. Nothing is better than trying to move into a little bit better of a place and being charged outrageously high amounts of coin for it. Current tenants take a back seat to possible tenants so therefore customer satisfaction is tossed in the garbage with their lunch daily.

Jerk!!! Those ladies are very sweet and would not do such a thing! Maybe you should move elsewhere if you can't afford it at Fielder Square.

wow - I'm soooo not surprised by this- you were too kind giving them a 3 on maintenence and safety.
You should file a complaint with the Memphis Fair Housing Authority,

Maybe I'm a jerk, but i should get what i pay for, because it is one of the higher costing apartments in memphis... for what? You obviously don't get what you pay for here, because if you did, the fees would be non-existent. Maybe if this complex provided legitimate fees and charges for existing tenants, then the girls in the office would be busy enough filling the empty apartments they have instead of sitting on this website reading accurate reviews and calling the people jerks that pretty much write their paycheck.
