Acute Incompetence

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005
I most recently completed an application and was approved. Unfortunately, after I had already decided to take a particular apartment, they informed me that someone had come along and placed a deposit (hold) on the same apartment.
After waiting a day or so before they could figure things out, they decided to move forward with the apartment. Now, a week before its time for me to move in, they tell me that I couldn't move in. Now, this is after I've made arrangements (placed a deposit) with movers (out of state), changed utiltiies (phone, electric, etc) and I'm going around in circles with the management staff. They actually used an expired employee as the scape goat.
Based on my experience, I've wasted a month trying to move in. By the way, I've already given my 30 day notice to my current apartment. So, a week before the move and after all the expenses of getting things in place..all I can get out of these folks is a "I'm sorry."
My advice, find another place to live. Maybe God has shown me something on the front end verus moving in and finding a worst situation.
This is been a painful experience with Fieldstone Apartments and they really don't seem to care. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Equal Housing Authority.
