Gayoso House Apartments

Location, security, luxury - Gayoso House has it all From: orslandb Date posted: 4/27/2004 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2004   I have lived at Gayoso for two and a half years and love it down here. We can walk to Beale Street, the river, the new Fed Ex Forum (when it opens), Peabody Place for shopping or the movie theater and all kinds of restaurants. I have not felt unsafe here at any time. There are security guards and cameras, as well as key card access to the building. The tragic incident that happened in early April was isolated and random - it could have happened at any apartment building in Memphis, not just downtown. The staff and building owners have been responsive to residents' concerns and have posted guards at the door for added access security. There is even a Krispy Kreme about to open downstairs in the same building - you know the police will be right here all the time! Don't let the previous poster dissuade you from checking out this building - the apartments are luxurious, the office staff and security are friendly and helpful, and the location can't be beat.
