Gilmore Apartments

Yeah, you don't live at the Gilmore From: midtownmemphis1 Date posted: 1/18/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006   Well first off, the 1/14/06 review is obviously not written by someone who lives at the Gilmore. Must be some confused country bumpkin from the outlying area. If your water gets dirty everytime it rains then you have well water, not city water so get a clue. I live at the Gilmore and definitely always have clean & clear water. I did however notice when I first moved in that there was some discoloration the first time I turned my bathroom water on. Yeah, it's an older building which I've lived in before so it has old metal pipes. When water isn't used regularly, the water left in the pipe sits and rusts a little. It looks funky but is otherwise harmless and goes away as soon as you run it. As far as roaches go, I saw 3-4 so I called management, they immediately had pest control come out and also tracked the problem to a nearby neighbor and told them to get their stuff cleaned up or get out. I haven't had a single bug of any description for 6 mths. Oh and on the parking, I often come home after 12:30 or 1 AM and I've always found a parking space. When I moved in, my apartment was very clean and management was very interested in how I liked my apartment. I thought the A/c looked a little old, mentioned it and they replaced it immediately with a brand new one with remote and temperature and time settings. I love this place! The building is very solid and it's a super area with everything close by, mostly in walking distance. All the residents seem very nice and as happy as I am to be here and the staff is also very friendly and helpful even with personal questions and concerns not pertaining to my apartment or building. I highly recommend The Gilmore.
