The Gilmore is a pretty decent place to live. I know the glowing reviews dont always sound real, but dealing with the office staff from New York before I moved back to Memphis was simple and pleasant. It offered a cheap, comparably, and safe place to live. They bent over backwards to move me into an apartment site unseen and were more then willing to help me out with anything, including the 5 million packages that were sent to me. They were incredibly nice to me the whole time i was there and never had anything bad to say about them. Always said hello and greeted me by name.

This is an old building and is missing some of the nicer comforts afford by living out east. But if your a student at Rhodes, like I was, then this is a great place. The Studios are really nothing more then a dorm room with a bathroom and a tiny Kitchen. It was nice in the beginning but got a bit tight by the end of the lease and a bit annoying having so little space.

The maintenance was, for what I could tell, pretty good. I had a hot water pipe break under my sink and was fixed within 30 or 40 minutes. I always saw the handy man and paint crews in and out of the apartments.

I would move back into The Gilmore but its too far from work. Overall a good place to live if you can handle the small size.
