Would be decent without the super cockroaches.

I read the reviews on this site before moving in last year and though I did see some reviews regarding the roach problem, I decided to overlook that thinking those tenants were probably just nasty. Man was I wrong. Now, I am a man and I don't curl up at the site of bugs, but these roaches are just insanely huge sometimes. I mean, I kill them but who wants to have company over and a big roach crawls across the floor''' I have to deal with these pests so often that every time I step into a different room I check it for roaches first. Last week was probably the worst when I had one fall from the ceiling onto my hand (they fall a lot, clumsy creatures I guess). Before about 2 months ago I was killing maybe 3 or 4 per week. Now I kill one every single day. A neighbor said they come from outside and are attracted by the ponds and trees but I find them in the strangest places to come from outside. I just found one in my bathroom sink a couple hrs ago. They are extremely too hard to kill for just bugs. I step on them with my work boots and that usually isn't good enough for the kill. You can use a broom to get to the ones on the ceilings and high walls but don't think for one second that's gonna kill them.
If it were not for these bugs, I probably would extend my lease but when January comes I'm out of here. The property has a nice appearance. They keep the grass cut and trees trimmed. I don't have a problem with bad children, at least not in my area. I see MPD in here sometimes but most of the crime seems to be domestic in nature and late at night when most people sleep. There isn't much of a noise problem to me. The office staff sucks, but I think nearly everyone's office staff sucks to some degree. I do recall the staff lying to me regarding the reason I had no hot water for 2 days and the time it would take for my problem to be fixed. Maintenance came over and had heard of no such water problem and they even told him to come over and fix the wrong thing. Luckily he seemed competent enough and took care of my problem. Parking can suck at times. I-40 @ Sycamore View sucks at times. Pulling onto Macon sucks most of the time because a car is normally pulling into either Greenbrook or the complex across the street.
And just to clarify, the women in the office who do the leases and all are nice and easy to work with. It's the staff in the back in charge of payments and service requests who sort of suck.
But to summarize, Greenbrook would be very tolerable without the roaches and I don't think they can control that problem. Would recommend if those bugs won't bother you and they have pest control so other than the roaches, I've had maybe 2 or 3 small spiders. Also, I've been told that the 2nd floor units don't have a large bug problem.

I have to agree with you on the traffic headaches. Macon rd is a madhouse at 5pm! Making a right turn towards Syacamore is pretty frustrating.
I got a 2nd fl unit so roaches haven't been much of an issue for me. I've seen about a handful since moving in. It probably helps that I have a fiesty kitty who thinks small bugs are excellent gifts to leave me. :P

Those roaches are huge. I lived in the Woods with my mom & one morning at about 3am, one crawled over the couch and hop/flew to the chair I was sitting in. Freaking Transformer roaches - I'm not dealing with them. & Pest Control was an absolute joke. I didn't see them once, and I work out of home. No knocking, nothing, yet I would get all sorts of notices about getting Pest Control such and such day.
