Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I have lived here since May 2004 and it was pretty good until December.
I received a bill from the leasing office stating that they would not accept my January rent and water payment because I had a past-due balance.
Fortunately I kept records of all my cancelled checks and sent them proof that I don't owe a balance.
They never responded to my inquiries (by email to keep a paper trail) on the status of my account but they are cashing my checks so I'm not too worried.
Yesterday, they cut off my water because the renovators were working downstairs and left without reconnecting to the building.
It took only about 20 minutes to get the situation resolved but I would have been messed up if I came home after the leasing office closed at 6:00.
