I looked for several weeks before a friend of mine reccommended Greenbrook. What convinced me was that she said that Greenbrook had it's own security force. In Memphis, that is a must. Greenbrook is a large property spreading on both sides of a main thoroghfare and goes on for many blocks. Once we moved in, before we discovered this site, we discovered that the "security force" was, in fact, two guys and one of those was a pharmacy tech by trade.

Our neighbors were nice enough, but we called one "sir pees alot" because we caught him, on several occassions, drunk and peeing on the plants in the FRONT of his apartment. Another wouldn't bother going into his apartment to change. He would just change his clothes right there in front of God and everybody. Noise was an issue, not from our Greenbrook neighbors, but from a house behind our complex. When police were called, they would say that they could do nothing until 10 pm.

When neighbors would shower, water pressure dropped.

But the single biggest problem was the ants. They say that they provide extermination services, but when staff were there to spray the outside, I saw one of them actually spraying IN THE SAME SPOT for about 10 minutes and not spray anywhere near the foundation of the apartment...FYI, ant baits work great. I was transferred due to work after about 4 months of living there. They do not have a transfer clause in the lease. They require 2 months in addition to the current month that you leave, so that is 3 months rent if you have to break your lease and 60 days if you do not. An accident happened on the property and the management couldn't care less.

On the upside, it is Memphis, we could have done much worse.
