I have read all these comments about this property and have to agree with most of them about the management of the property. It is a shame that you first pay soooo much rent and that you are treated like a dog if something happens or if you have concerns about your unit. After researching these apartments I have found that turnover is very high and the average tenant is only here less than a year.
Applied for the apartment and was told I'd be on a waiting list but would be moved in by the first of the month. After paying my deposit and application fee and being approved I found out that they only move in between the 3rd and 10th, but I had given my notice to my current apartments already so I had to move out by the 10th. After finding out that I may not be able to move in by that time I extended it to the 12th. At any rate, I would be responsible for the entire month's rent their and the rent at the current apartment. So, I contacted the corporate office and advised them that I needed some type of date to ensure that I could move in and was persistent so they did give me a definate date. Was still responsible for the entire month's rent though. I called the apartments to check on my date and they would say that they were going to call me back but never did until it was time to sign my lease, but when I went to sign my lease I had a money order for the amount of a one bedroom on the street side which is $655 but the lady was like oh, honey, they didn't tell you' We have you down for the golf course side and she said that is all we have. I told asked her why no one called or bothered to tell me this when I called them everyday to check on the availability of my apartment and she said that she did not know why. I asked her when the apartment for $655 would be ready and she said that she didn't know that maybe I could stay in a hotel and I said and you don't know how long. I felt that my hands were tied at that point because I had no apartment to go back to because it had already been leased out and I was already paying an additional $100 because I was doing lease to lease as my previous lease was up and exteneded for 10 days. Called the corporate office to see if they could move me into an apartment on the front side or either charge me the $655 for the golf course side which is actually $680 a month and they said they would have to contact the supervisor of the property. Spoke with Jennifer two days later and she said that he said no they could not do it. I asked to speak with the supervisor myself and Jennifer claimed that he was out in a meeting and did not know when he'd be back and that he did not contact residents@#$&^*&..what!!!!
If you have any issues with this property you will not get anywhere because they are realistic. They don't mind the turnover because if you sign a years lease and decide to move you can buy your lease out not to exceed 3 months but at the same time they will rent it out and they will receive rent in addition to your buyout for this property.
The golf course availability I've found is a scam. They fill those apartments on the golf course side first and then they fill the others. I was talking with another resident and they did her the same way .. waited until she came to sign her lease to tell her that the apartment on the street side was not available only the golf course side... we are talking about a woman who has 4 children. The management here is out of hand and people need to know that they are taking advantage of people who want to live in a better area, who want their children to go to better schools. It is one thing to be willing to pay your rent but to be put in a situation where you are almost forced to pay for something that you never agreed to. Oh, another thing they won't tell you is that there is a $27.97 charge every month on your light bill for the county emergency services. The managment here is cold, heartless and most difficult to deal with. Now, if you do have an issue they act like it's your fault.
Think twice about moving here unless you are willing to deal with some difficult people. Most of the people in the office are nice but that Jennifer is no joke. She is very difficult.
