ROBBED AT GUNPOINT!!

Do not move in to the Greens at Irene.
Some background: I am a college educated professional who has lived all over the country and overseas. I can honestly say that this is the least safe place I have ever lived. Last night (10/10/07), my roommate was robbed, at gunpoint, in the parking lot just outside of our apartment. Security here is virtually non-existent and, though it is a gated community, people frequently tailgate through the entrance behind entering residents.
I spoke with one of the four sheriffs who responded to the robbery last night and he told me that this apartment complex was "getting worse" and that I (we) should move to an apartment in Collierville, further east. We are going to do just that.
Everyone wants to feel safe in their place of residence. I do not feel that way here and am, in fact, afraid that it is just a matter of time before I am held up as well.
