Sorry about the length of this post, but please read, I think you will enjoy it!!!!

Well, I will start off by saying the geographic location is nice and quick response by the FIRE DEPT., but the compliments STOP THERE!!!

1)You know it is sad to say our best neighbors were the potheads that lived next door. We got locked out of the Apt. on the patio(2nd floor apt)and they picked the window locks(so security is REALLY BAD)and got us back in.

2)The front door door knob was replaced twice by maintenance(HA..HA...WITH USED DOORKNOBS that were in no better shape than the first one). We finally had to replace the doorknob ourselves after being locked out of the apt 3 times within a three week period...then got fussed at because we wouldnt give them a copy of the key.(Hey, they can go in the fire door like they told us we had to do)Side note--Maint. did not come into our apt. at ALL!!!!Of course, that was because we had an 80lb helper dog living there...they ALL were scared of her.

3)Ok, Management changed 3 times while we were there and it got worse each time. For example....The lease. We both worked late (after 6pm and left before 7am..I had to take a half a day off 4 times to get it straightened out) Went in to renew(AGH!! if I only KNEW!!!)and was told that there were no leases available and we would be notified when they came in...TWO WEEKS LATER AND STILL NO LEASE..I go back in to sign..the person who does the leases is not in and to come back the next day. Well, I did..and you know what' THEY LOST IT!!!(By this time, the lease had run out, and I AM NOT paying rent without a lease. Then they sent us a letter switching us from a 1 year to a month to month(which cost 200 more a month)While this whole debacle was going on they sent us 3 differnt letters with 3 different rates on it!!!! I went in the next day and actually got to sign it(but the chick didn?t write it right with the +30 a month with the pet deposit) So they tried to charge me close to 200 more than I should have been charged...Then I had to wait another 4 days to get the managers signature....Then they had the NERVE to yell at me for signing the lease with incorrect information!!!!Pardon ME, I thought that that was their job, not mine!!! SO, we finally got that sorted out..or so I thought.

WAIT!!!! There?s more!!! For three months after that, we kept getting letters stating that we owned them money for pet rent that we hadn?t paid.(WE ALWAYS PAID TWO WEEKS EARLY)The info. was STILL entered WRONG in the computer. There was an interm manager there at the time...I ACTUALLY got to talk to her and get it straightend out..I watched her enter it into the computer myself. She ACTUALLY APOLOGIZED!!!!

Children and those faint of heart STOP NOW...But if you like horror stories, please READ ON!!!!!

4)They never did get around to fixing the broken tile, the rotting patio, the no juice electrical outlet in the master bedroom(they knew these things when we moved in, THEY told us about them!!!)

5)They never did give us a report on lead based paint (as I had a toddler at the time)

6) Winter they never did put sawdust or salt down on the steps, so I could slide on my butt down the stairs right into the parking lot and into my car...

7) They flat out lied!!!! They told us at move in that there was a "private" swimming pool for those people who "bought" a key to the weight room. The pool at the time was closed because they were having it resurfaced. This was not the case as we found out the next summer.

8) Speaking of Pools, it was never policed!!! There were "adults" and I use that term loosely, thowing water-logged nerf footballs in the pool and hit my toddler in the head!!! We complained, they did nothing...

9)Maybe I am an old fart, but I really don?t like block parties at 3:00am (on weekdays). We called the "security" they had..it didn?t do any good. We called the after hours service center 4 times, and still no response. Finally had to call the cops...TWICE!!!! Due to the paper thin walls, my toddler learned 3 new words that night. How do you tell a toddler that, and I quote, "mother- f***ing ni**er" is a BAD WORD' ANd living in Memphis, it is out-right dangerous as the city is 60% black and 40% white.

10) Insulation! What is that' I really didn?t want to know when my downstairs neighbour got home and watched porn, and when my neighbor beside me is having SEX!!!! I now know the entire base line from Madonna?s "Music"courtisy of my other neighbor.

11)The playgroud' HA don?t make me giggle. The blue book said it was a good one. It was one piece that had two short slides, a tic-tack toe board and a coverd slide. It was good for a kid that was 4 FEET TALL!!! But the time they were tall enough to play in it, they were too old for it. NOW YOU KNOW WHY THE CHILDEREN WERE RUNNING AROUND UNSUPERVISED IN THE PARKING LOTS!!!

12)The hot water handle leaked in the tub..it started as a drip, so I called, then it went to a drizzle, so I called, then it went to a stream, so I called, then it went to a raging river..so much that we had NO Hot water...(my water bill was outrageous for three months!!) It took me going out and getting sweaty and stinky and then sitting in the office with the toddler and the dog and not moving until it was fixed...funny, it was fixed that very same day!!!!

BAKERS DOZEN!!!!!!(There is plenty more but my fingers are getting cramped, and your eyes are probly crossing, and it doesn?t even sound believable anymore...but I digress)MOVING OUT.... You think the horror is ending.....NOT!!!!! They lost the notice that we gave them six-weeks in advance, so they tried to charge us for that, and being as how we always paid early, they didn?t have the record that we had paid for the last month, so they tried to charge us for that. HA!!! I love being a pack rat.. We rattled off the check number, the date that it was signed, the date that it cleared the bank and the amount...oops they credited it to another tennent. So we got that straighten out. GIven their track record, I didn?t trust them to handle the final walk-though. So, I stayed an extra 2 days in the apt with NOTHING in it, because the "manager" couldn?t be bothered on a Sat.(even though she said she was going to be there) and the screw up with billing. Finally, a new leasing agent(BTW they go though leasing agents like Elvis goes though peanut-butter and bananna sandwiches)came to do the walk though (I video taped this historic event) and even he said(LIVE ONE TAPE)that we had the apt. by the well...you know what...because of the obvious long term repair problems(i.e. rotten patio balcony, broken tile...etc) He was embarrased. Anyway when Monday rolled around, I went down to the office to talk to the "manager" to make sure they straightened out the bill mess, as I was waiting for a VERY LONG TIME I had time to kill so I checked in with my roomate(name was first on the lease who had to go on ahead for work) and calmly rattled off all the things that I had told the leasing agent during the walk-though and about mess-up with the billing, and what was SUPPOSEDLY being done with it...(I scared off two seperate couples. They were ready to sign the lease and hand over the check. When they heard me telling my room mate about the problems that we were having, they walked out the door and we never saw them again....appearently they had a change of heart) To make a long story short, not only did they not try to charge us, but we actually got ALL out deposit back (minus the 85$ cleaning fee)I honestly think it was because of the video tape and the comments on it, and the file folder overflowing with our paper trail from their office...not good for them if we go to court.

oh yeah one more....the countertops in the kitchen were bright orange and had been painted over, chips in the paint down to the wood surface....and they didn?t even have the sense to polyurethane over the paint, so anything would stain the surface!!!!

To Sum it all up!!!!

DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!!
