I am sincerely regretting my one year lease. I've been here two weeks, and I want out.
I've set up four meetings with maintenance, to go over some problems, all documented on my move-in sheet. Every meeting was blown off, a no show by the maintenance folks.
There are clouds of spider webs hanging up high on the cathedral ceiling.
The kitchen faucet is falling off the sink.
There wasn't a single smoke alarm when I moved in. There should be three, according to code. They installed two.
It took ten days to get my mailbox key, with my new insurance card locked inside, and my prescriptions running out. Messing around with peoples' mail is a Federal crime, isn't it'
Shingles have fallen off the roof, they're laying on the side of the building. There's a trench on the roof where the shingles fell off, the wood underneath is rotting.
Two of the interior doors are falling apart and broken/shattered. My closet shelf is falling off the wall.
I'm missing a screen on one bedroom window. The other bedroom window is clouded over and useless.
I can see daylight under the front door: bugs and water.
The elaborate gated system for cars is useless, because one exit gate near me has been standing open, broken, since I got here. My next door neighbor was robbed two days ago.
