After 2 years here I have seen managers come and go. The current assistant manager is great. She is punctual in releasing work orders. As well as providing a pleasant demeanour and a very professional approach to managing a office environment. Unfortunately she isn't the person who finalises most of the problems in this community. The current manager has a serious problem with the way she approaches problems , as well as the way she even treats her tenants. Twice I have paid my rent during office hours and both times she has gone out of her way to avoid me or to have any dealings with me. I consider myself a reputable tenant. Never been late with rent or caused any problems in the community. What most sticks out in my mind was the first time I paid rent during business hours. UPS was there and everyone was really busy but the manager. I approached the assistant who was taking a phone call and had papers strewn over her desk and honestly, looked like she was about to pull her hair out. Then I approached the leasing agents desk. She was waiting on the courier and had a tenant waiting as well. She also had a phone call holding. So I wandered back towards the back knowing that the manager MUST be there somewhere. As I approached her office I could hear the chipmunk-like cackles that must have been surrounding a phone call she was taking. As I listened I could here pretty much all that was being said and BELIEVE ME........It wasn't related to work. So I stuck my head around the corner and waved my check as if to say
"I have Monies !!" and she looked me up and down as if my clothes weren't pressed enough and said in a overly-motherly way, "Hon...I don't post rent and if you wanna pay it like this you will have to wait for Kemis or Beverly."
Well then she jumped right back into her peon conversation with whoever and ignored me like I was nothing. Never have I felt so shunned by someone who's job it is to wait on me hand and foot. Needless to say I waited until Beverly could take my check and even though she was swamped to the hilt, she smiled and said thank you and she was sorry I had to wait. Why I ask does the manager still have her job' She plays on the phone while her assistant manager is covered up and she has three people in the lobby waiting on her' What kind of Manager is that'''' A VERY POOR ONE INDEED. Other than all of that, the grounds are clean and free of trash and parking isn't as bad as everyone says it is. If tenants didn't have 4 cars for every apartment then it wouldn't be so bad.
