I very recently went to the midtown place to look for an apartment. I asked all three of the people that work in the office about the utility prices. One was very misleading and attempted to tell me that I would pay " my own" utilities like most other places. I then started pressing the subject and they explained the Rubs system to me. First, they wouldn't tell me what "RUBS" stands for. Then they explained to me that basically they get a gas bill for the entire property. Then they divide it by the size apartment that you live in. I then asked them "you are basically telling me that if I don't want to use my heat then I would still be paying for other tenants utilities." They chose to ignore my question. I would never lease from this place.
