I WAS thinking about moving to this property.

Seems like they have really good specials going on for lots of space but after reading the reviews the issues may be the reason for the decrease in prices.

I'm not sure if there is new management from when the previous reviews were written.

Just by reading these has completely turned me off from this property.

Sounds like all the reviews say the same so it must be true.

Do any of the real residents enjoy living there'' Seems like the good reviews may have been written by the staff.

It's a very noisy place to live and dog crap is always all over the place. Those were my two main reasons for leaving. I used to hear the girl next door kids crying, her vacuuming the floor, and I heard her loud radio every morning. It was so bad that when she was upstairs in her apartment it sounded like she was upstairs in my bed room. The floors squeaked so badly and loudly when we walked it was so annoying. I would hear her walking through the upstairs hallway and up and down the steps many times each day. The neighbors are very inconsiderate; there was one guy that would always play his music loud like he was on 10 acres of property. Since then I have bought a home and there are still issues with disrespectful neighbors but I have more control over resolving the issues instead of waiting on management at an apartment complex to do so. And I ended up calling the police on her for the loud music etc a few times. I complained to management and they were nice enough to let me leave a few months before my lease expired.

Living in a home is different from living in apartments. In apartments you have to expect that you will hear more noise from a neighbor than you would in a house. Some situations are worse than others though so I understand what you mean. My main concern was the bugs and maintenance. The one good thing about renting is that when something breaks you aren't responsible for getting it fixed. If something isn't working in my apartment I would be pretty upset if I had to call the office thousands of times and still not have my issue fixed but yet they expect my rent every month ON TIME. I also don't do bugs so I'm a little worried about Poplar Place because everybody has the same complaints. That was nice of them to let you out of your lease early.

I lived there for 3 years .. and didn't realize how horrible it was in contrast to other places. I thought all the bad things were just normal things you'd expect from living in an apt. Shady people drive through in old beat up cars, dim lighting at night, creaky floors, my upstairs shower leaked into my downstairs kitchen, my hot water heater burst and flooded the whole place, and the last straw was when I got broken into while away at work. Terrible place to live.
