Cockroach infested; imposition of lease agreement clauses after lease expired.

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I converted to a month-to-month tenancy several months prior to my giving notice that I was moving out, yet they are demanding 60 days notice of that I was vacating the premesis, not the 30 days notice which would be expected when living on a month-to-month basis.
In addition, my apartment is, and has been since I moved in, infested with cockroaches as well as many other types of insects.
There was no attempt to inform me of this condition prior to my signing the lease.
