River Trace

 

River Trace and the staff are very unprofessional.

I initially dealt with them over the phone 800 miles away.

They always hurried me off the phone and said everything is in order and will be taken care of.

NOT!



After driving 11 hours with a full 15ft Ryder truck towing a Nissan and me following behind in my car with my dog we arrive at River Trace.

We filled out the necessary miscelaneous(sp) paperwork.

Before signing the lease we had a walk through.

I about pissed in my pants.

There were about 20 dead roaches on the kitchen counter with some live ones walking around like that was their apartment and we were invading it.

On the balcony was a gigantic spider web w/ an equally gigantic spider attached to it.

I was shocked, tired, and just plain angry that they disregarded us like that.

I even called three days prior to let them know we were on our way.

The girl I was talking with was on vacation when we got there and she apparently didnt care enough to follow through with us before she left.



There was no way I could live there.

They offered to bomb the apartment, but we would not be able to move in until 12:30 the next day.

Well, we had a Ryder truck that had to be back by 10am the next day or else we didnt get our $100.00 deposit back.

Needless to say we didnt get our deposit back.

We decided we couldnt live there.

They didnt want to give us our deposit or processing fee back.

So I cancelled the checks.

They said they offered us something comperable so its our fault.

They couldnt offer us a first floor apartment so it wasnt comperable.

Then they had the nerve to say that was the only apartment with roaches! Yeah right I found River Trace on the internet and it looked great on the screen.

In person it sucks.

The area doesnt feel safe and its just down right depressing.



I told the managment company that deals with them: Mid America Properties and they were very sorry and sympathized so that was good.

We found something else the next day at Kirby Station and we love it.
