River Trace is hell on earth. It is absolutely awful. If I could post some of the pictures I've taken there in the last few months, you would be amazed. They frequently let trash pile up in the dumpster to the point that it overflows out into the parking lot. It's unsanitary and disgusting. When we had a fire ant invasion, we were told to wait a week for pest control.

We know of one apartment that is housing 25 illegal immigrants, which is, of course, a violation of equal housing laws. When the manager was notified of this, she said "As long as they pay their rent, I don't care how many people live there."

River Trace will allow ANYONE to move into their property, regardless of credit. That leads to some very ghetto-type activity, including loud neighbors, drug dealing, and crime. Within a two week span, three cars were broken into in the parking lot in which I park. Where is security'

We heard a gunshot one night. Within minutes, police were out in the parking lot talking to different people. The River Trace "security" guy was also there. The next morning when we called the manager to find out what happened, the manager flat-out lied to us, telling us that no one at River Trace knew anything at all about a gunshot. That's funny; a staff member told us that an emergency meeting of all staff was called that morning to discuss what had happened. Can you say Cover-Up'

The management cannot be trusted. They are awful, horrible slobs who are running what is nothing more than a housing project.

Do not rent from River Trace! In fact, stay away from Mid America Apartment Communities. They need to straighten up their act.
