I AM A CURRENT TENANT MOVING OUT THIS MONTH JAN. O8. I AM A TENANT THAT RECEIVES GOVERMENT ASSISTANCE TO HELP PAY A PORTION OF MY RENT. I AM NOT PLEASED AT ALL THAT THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF MEMPHIS APPROVED FOR ME AN MY CHILDREN TO LEAVE IN A PLACE THAT IS INFESTED WITH ROACHES. AND THE MAINTANANCE STAFF HERE DOES NOT PROPERLY REPAIR THINGS THAT NEED TO BE REPAIRED. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THE STOVE THE SO CALLED REPAIR IS A FIRE HAZZARD THEY HAVE TAPE UNDERNEATH TO HOLD ALL THIS DIFFERENT WIRES FOR THE STOVE TO WORK INSTEAD OF REPLACING THIS OUTDATED APPLIANCES THE DO WHATEVER NECCESSARY TO MAKE UNSAFE REPAIRS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR ANYONE TO MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENTS UNLESS THEY DUE NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR APARTMENT BEING BROKEN INTO LEAVING WITH ROACHES AND A STAFF THAT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR RESIDENTS.THIS APARTMENTS ARE SO OLD AND OUTDATED THAT IT IS A SHAME THEY SPEND MORE MONEY ON THE LANDSCAPE THE PUTTING IT BACK INTO THE APARTMENTS. DO NOT MOVE YOUR FAMILY IN TO THIS APARTMENTS.

I totally agree with you about the appliances. River Trace was built in 1985. It is now the year 2008. They cannot have appliances which are 23 years old in these apartments much longer at all. I hate to state this, but here you go... If you have an apartment complex which has all wood exteriors... And if you have 23 years old appliances which are held together by duct tape....Then, you will eventually have fires breaking out. I hate to even state that and I wish no one harm at all. I hope that fires never break out in this building, but such a thing could very well happen. I think that this post shows that, once again, Isiah Williams needs to be fired from his job as the "head" maintenance person. He is the one who has the say as to the ordering of new appliances and all of that. Tonya Mosely really needs to step up to the plate and replace Isiah with someone more qualified, before it is to late. And, yeah, this with the landscaping has just got to stop. I am sick of landscapers coming all the time. They spend hours doing crap and it is really annoying to those of us who work odd hours. Heck, sometimes they are on the grounds until 7p.m. with leaf blowers and everything. I am also really sick of all these people with gigantic dogs who let their dogs crap in the grass. I figure that is why the landscapers are here so often. Gosh, I feel sorry for people with children, because the children have to play around dog crap all the time.
