Recently, cars have been stolen from this apartment complex and break-ins have become part of the "norm." When I called to discuss my concerns with management, I was told that if I moved, there was still a great chance that I could become a victim elsewhere. (Really''') I was told that my "notice to vacate" is only accepted on the 1st of the month (even though my lease expired months ago). It really seems like a scam to get more money (for an additional month's rent). They allow tenants to move in any day during the month but you can't turn in your notice to vacate unless it's the first of the month. This doesn't make sense. When I tried to speak with someone at Sunshine Corporation about my notice to vacate, the office staff refused to answer simple questions and were very defensive. The apartment manager, Kim, and the office staff with Sunshine Corporation have been extremely rude and would greatly benefit from additional training on "quality customer service." The apartment manager does NOT live here, so she really doesn't know what goes on after she clocks out and goes home. Please don't be fooled by the gates because they never work. Don't be fooled by the security guard because he never seems to be around when the break-ins occur. I keep my apartment very tidy; however, in the summer, the spiders are ridiculous! ALL of my neighbors have had this same complaint. Also, you can not renew your lease and stay in the same apartment. If you would like to keep your special or get the current special, you have to move out of your apt. and into another unit...even if it's exactly the same. This is yet another way to get more money from tenants b/c who wants to move all of their things just to move 2 doors down' Instead, most of us have opted to pay month-to-month and pay the additonal fees each month. For the amount that I pay to live in this not-so-safe area, I have found a nice apartment in Collierville. Please shop around!

I agree I have the same complants. My apt was broke in on and I got the same response.They are very nice and fake when trying to rent and they are very rude when there is a problem.I also was warned about Sunshine Corp.but i didn't listen.I'm stuck here for months to come and they are constanly having break-ins and they don't even warn people or put out notices. overall I hate Sunshin Corp.
