You don't want to live here!

The Rivermark has some very nice apartments, but unfortunately the bad outweighs the good. The elevators seem unsafe, you don't know if if its are going to take you up or down or if its even going to move at all and that's you're lucky enough to get one to stop for you. There is supposed to be a freight elevator to move in large furniture, but what good is it if they shut it down at 5p.m. Don't they know that most people have to work between 9 a.m. and 5p.m. Most of the place is filthy. I live on one of the lower floors so the stairs are very convenient when I don't want to wait for an elevator. Both stairways are filthy. It looks as if someone spilled a soda and its now dried and sticky. There used to be very nice hard wood floors in the lobby, but someone had a not so bright idea to refinish the floor. That did not turn out so good. The floor looks as if its been sandpapered. Maintenance is very poor. They come to your apartment and leave a note that the problem is fixed, but its never fixed and you have to call again. The roaches are taking over the building, and the pest control they advertise is not doing any good.
The office staff used to be very good about getting things done, but service has been on a slow decline every since that new manager started working here. Even the other employees seem unhappy. She's never in the office, and the new leasing lady doesnt even acknowledge your presence in the office. Both of them are the most unprofessional people that I've encountered. One day I stood in the office for almost 10 minutes before she realized I was there. I only wanted to pay my rent, but she paid me no attention. Even when the property manager is there, she's always "busy", and they guard her like bulldogs. What's she there for if she can't help people. Arent they supposed to offer great customer service. With them as management, The Rivermark is better off without a management office. They expect us to pay the rent on time, but they cannot hold up their end of the bargin. The place is slowly falling apart, and nothing is getting fixed. Everytime it rains the entrance to lobby floods and the water is almost ankle deep. They want people to pay for covered parking that does more damage to your car than good. Everytime it rains, white paint from the roof I guess gets all over the cars. The hot water goes out constantly. You cannot regulate the temperature in your apartment. The maintenance people have to switch from heat to air, and if they don't do it, you are just stuck with whatever is on.
My lease is going to end soon, and I can assure you that I won't be renewing another one. If I wanted to live like this then I would have moved to the projects.
