Update on Rosecrest

Apparently it's not hip to repair things at Rosecrest - things are still not being fixed.

There was a fire alarm scare due to one of the old elevators causing smoke that triggered the fire alarm - now I take the stairs.

The said elevator has NOT been repaired and doesn't look like they're trying to do anything about it.

On the list of thing's that have yet to be repaired we have the "fitness room" of which one exercise machine actually works.

It is interesting to note that I have never seen any of the cleaning staff ever clean any of the machines in that room.

I also love how they removed the mirrors in the room and somehow forgot to replace them.

On any given day you can enjoy repair roulette in the laundry room where one to three of the appliances aren't working.

If you make your way over to the computer lab you'll find a sign that promises new computers when the Northland management "eventually" gets around to it.

Apparently it's been such a trying case to get new machines in because that sign has been there for three months.

The pool is fun to swim in but poorly regulated - the chlorine levels are too high and there's not enough PH in the pool whatsoever.

Some of the residents are ok, decent folks.

Nobody really talks to anyone else, there's not much of a "community" and there's dog ---- all over the grassy areas.

The elevators (when they actually work) have dog urine inside them but -------------- moved out so things should be alright.

If you pay to just stay here and sleep, make sure you have cockroach traps if you happen to live on floors 6 and below.

Also prepare for mold in your apartments when things get a little too moist.

The perks are there's more space in the apartment's than at the Gilmore, the prices are cheaper even with utilities, and there's some key card access and there is a security guard you can call if there's a disturbance.

This place is the basic do what you have to do to save money.

If you feel like you would want to live in a place that has actual work done on the building and better looking that doesn't smell like thirty year old gym clothes on each floor - probably wanna look somewhere else.
