We have been living in the Tanglewood for 5 months now on a 6 month lease (thank god)! And we have had so many problems! The apartments are old and falling apart. They are doing renovations, but unless they plan on knocking them down and starting over... they would not be safe. We have had roach problems and numerous maintenance problems, which took forever to repair. The concrete is shifting in our apartment.. we live upstairs and our furniture leans one way on one side of the room and the opposite way on the other side... as if it is caving in. We reported this problem to the office and they said nothing could be done until the apartment was vacant, yet they would not move us to another apartment or let us out of our lease. They have now begun renovations, and last week they started working on the stairs (we live upstairs), and did not inform us of it. I came home from college the day they working on them and they had 3 stairs taken down on both sets of stairwells at the same time. There was no way in and out of the apartment. The man working on the stairs got me a ladder and I had to use that to get to my apartment. As soon as I could leave the apartment, I went to the office and reported what had happenned and they acted like they could careless. I have a 10 month old son and this was a serious fire hazard to have both stairwells taken apart at the same time. And the office staff could have cared less. It was ridiculous!!! I called LEDIC's (the management group who manages the apartments)main office and they were extremely rude and the lady they had me leave a message with never even contacted me back about all of these problems. I would never rent from another LEDIC property and I would not rent from Tanglewood even after renovations. They are structurally unsound and they are not doing structural renovations, just cosmetic ones.

Another problem with Tanglewood is having to pay for water usage. I lived there a few years ago, and they would send out a monthly bill for water. It was so bogus!!! I never spent anytime at that apartment and actually got charged $50 one month for water. Hello, houses don't use that much water so how did I? I think what it was from is some apartments have 10 non-U.S. citizens living there and I had to pay for their water since they divided the total bill by apartments not tenants.
