The Landings Apartments is a headache

I have been a resident at the landings for almost a year.
The apartments look great on the inside, but for the price that you pay it could be a whole lot better.
The office staff is always courteous, The Maintenance staff is ok.
The maintenance request service is very poor to me.
I had a leaking dishwasher that leaked through the wall and wet up the living room carpet for 4 days the mildew smell and the stain in the carpet.
When maintenace finally came on the 4th day they replaced the dishwasher but never cleaned the carpet.
Later on that day the technician realized he didn't record the serial number on the new dishwasher, while I was away the technician decided to enter my apartment while I was away to get a serial number, my ADT Alarm was set off and I wasn't notified ahead of time nor by a yellow ticket that lets you know that a staff member entered your apartment I found out by ADT.
My second concern is that I live in the back of the apartments the flood light that illuminates the parking lot is out and has been out since June of 2008 and is still out January 2009, "Let me remind you these are the apartments back in April 2008 a lady was kidnapped and her baby put in the truck and driven down the road" so it's very important to me that this light gets fixed.
I have made a BBB Complaint on each one of these issues and The Landings replied the light is on back order for a regular street light.
The neighborhood is very quite, there is to much landscaping I think it's to much for them to maintain.
People throw trash outside of the dumpsters instead of in.
The gym has very old equipment inside, the pool is great when the kids aren't taking over.
Mail room is nice.
Parking isn't to good since it's dark in the parking lot and plus someone hit my new truck and left the scene, Parking is bad on the weekend.
Oh yea I can't forget to say this is a gated community but it's open to the public since the gate is broke about 3 times a week, I will give them credit they fix it and then it's broke again.
The balconies are made of wood and someone's balcony fell yes it's true the whole rail fell down below.
There is so much landscaping and mulch I see cockroaches in my apartment from time to time.
One last thing Im 26 years old and guys that went to school with me I tend to see them hanging around the apartments that tend to be known drug dealers and there is one registered sex offender that lives over her.
Make sure you do your homework on these apartments.

This is definitely not the landings apartments they are always on top of things and always do what they are asked to do. I have never had a problem since I have been here they really care about there residents and everything. I love it here! and I have not been here that long when I came in my carpet was deep cleaned and a brand new door and all was put on my apartment they take great care of there apartments. :)

I Agree!!! The staff and maintenance are always very nice and extremely attentive! You also have to remember that anywhere you go there are going to be problems and of all the places I have lived, The Landings is by far one of the best! I have been here going on 3 years and the gate may have been hit by cars and broken a few times but 99% of the time it is working properly. OH! And why does it matter what happened two yeras ago? Don't live in the past, today is a gift- thats why they call it the present.

I have lived here for over a year and I HATE IT here, we have nothing but issues. An apt flooded on the other side of us and it took em 2 weeks to deal with the issue and my carpet still smells like mildew since they let the water sit for over a week. The manager for maintenance, who smokes, and has a bad attitude since my spouse and I told him how we felt about this water issue specially when we pay almost 800 bucks for a 2 bdr, he came in with Trina on the phone and told her the carpet was dry (which it isnt all the way dry and that it didnt have a smell) There is 3 of them in the office but anytime we call No ONE answers the phone and they all arent out showing apartments. I leave messages and now since I filed a complaint to the BBB, Trina won't call and deal with me one on one, this place sucks! The gym is run down and the walking machines never work, this place is like the ghetto. Gated doesn't matter people park to wait for anyone to drive through so they can go through. Our car has had the tires slashed, and tried popping off the side mirrors. This place needs more lighting on the outside. We had to have our patio redone because it looked like it would fall over and had boards missing. Inside the apts, they paint over everything so it has coats of paint and just looks old. Our toilet seats in both bathrooms have been painted rather then replaced and its all bubbled up. Its nasty and shows how cheap this place is. DO NOT MOVE HERE, you can find better apts for the money!
