It was nice in the beginning.

I've lived here for four years and it was a very nice place up until a little more than a year ago. In the last nine months it has turned ridiculous. There was a change in the on site management and the property owner. With previous management the grounds were kept clean and they took pride in the property. The office staff was friendly and the few issues I had were taken care of immediately. With the new management, issues are numerous and seldom resolved. The staff acts as if they are doing you a favor by allowing you to live here. The workout room and pool area are constantly a mess and the property is littered with trash regularly. Getting into the complex is a nightmare if the clubhouse is rented out due to cars blocking the entrance. In fact, there was one Saturday evening where the front gate was blocked by guests attending a party at the clubhouse that the back gate was chained shut (both gates are currently functioning). The billiards room may as well be removed from the amenities since it is only open during office hours due to vandalism. With the previous management you would see people picking up trash daily as you left for work. They would also blow the leaves and debris out of the breezeways. I can't recall the last time I saw this done. Someone must still be doing it since it does eventually get done be it days later. If you plan on having a parking space on weekends and late nights you may as well plan on paying for a reserved space and even then they are sometimes taken by visitors. The office hours are impossible for working people. During winter months the office closes at 5:30pm and they are closed on Saturdays all year. I questioned it once and was told that they don't want to show apartments after dark and I can respect that. They should not show apartments after 5 but still have someone in the office to assist current residents. Do they think that current residents do not need to occasionally visit the office if for no other reason than picking up packages' In fact they have the nerve to put an announcement in the December newsletter that packages left in the office more than five days will be returned to the carrier that delivered them. If a person works and can't get to the office before 5:30 they can't pick them up until Sunday at best. The trash compactor is constantly overflowing on weekends because the property is not staffed on weekends. The management's solution was to send out a note telling residents not to wait until the weekend to take out trash. This is a prime example of how the staff is not customer focused. The gates are constantly broken from being rammed by cars to gain access and can remain open for weeks while waiting on repair. I understand management can not control that but it does speak to the type of residents living here. As soon as my lease is up I'm moving and have to say that I could not recommend this place to anyone. The sad part is that this could be a great property and is in a great location. If only it were maintained to the level it used to be.
