I get amazed when I see people attempt to make this place glamorous. People like Bear can site the problems that exist here but will always attempt to make you believe that all of downtown is like this. And that's not true. Yes, I want out of my lease. If these problems as well as many others were addressed and not simply excused I wouldn't be trying to leave.
Living here since the 80's under the current condition only tells what you are willing to settle for. Sorry thats not me. I don't take anything from the view. It is georgous. It's just not enough to overcome the living conditions.

you get what you pay for, which is not much! If the view was all you got at this place, then it would be an okay place, when you tour the apt, the leasing mgr never mentions the good and bad, they only mention the GOOD, which sucks for the person who signs a year lease that cannot be broken, if mgt were honest about the break-in and other crap you have to deal with, along with the wonderful view and free utilites, then things would be fair, but they dont mention those things now do they!!!!! So I feel that tenants have a right to complain, because that is just misleading!!!!!!Im glad I was still alive and had a car left when my lease was finally UP!!!! Anonymous, you have my sympathy!!!

Another anonymous person sees fit to offer insight. All of downtown is not like this and never said it was. There are much worse buildings and there are much newer buildings. There are worse amenities and there are better amenities. The homeless are a city problem and an American social problem, but that is not the point. As anonymous had to admit, the views "are gorgeous." They are the best views offered at rental rates downtown and they are from the largest balconies offered by rentals downtown. If that is settling, so be it. I prefer it to weeding, mowing lawns in stifling heat and unexpected maintenance bills. Been there, done that, not interested. As an added bonus, I don't concern myself with one hundred or two hundred or three hundred or four hundred surprise utility bills. I have no utility bills, as it is included in my rent. Most of my friends live in six or seven figure homes with beautiful suburbia all around. I prefer my simple sunsets and sitting on my balcony to watch them nightly.
