Not a Great Place to Live

My husband and I lived in these apartments upon first moving to Memphis. They looked nice in their ads, however upon moving in it was much different. We moved in in late Nov. into an upstairs 3bdr. The apartment was discustingly dirty, we knew it would be somewhat dirty becuase we agreed to clean it ourselves due to our needing to move within a short amount of time. But this apartment had trash in the bathtubs, scum growing in the fridge, and a roach crawled out of a kitchen drawer. I wanted to leave right then but my husband said it just needed a good cleaning,so we stayed. It took 2-3 months for them to replace the fridge, it had a broken seal and a perminent stink. We were on the bug spray list at least 3/4 of the time. We could never get the roaches to leave, not even with us using our own bug sprays. We also had a problem with ants. The management said that the roaches were b/c of the woods, but I don't think so. I grew up in a house surrounded by woods and never had bugs! The shower stall tile fell on me one morning, about 1/2way up the wall it just fell off. They replaced it later that week. There were rumors of people being held up at gun point while we were there, but the office said they never happened. We had two of the four neighbors on our side broke their leases for safety and bug issues. The only reason that we didn't was because we couldn't afford too. Our lease was up Dec. 1 and we had completely moved out by Nov 15 and turned in keys on the 22nd. I never felt safe there, and am thankful to be living somewhere else, that is safer and bug free!!
I would never recommed this place due to the bugs and safety issues!
