I was so excited when i discovered these apartments. I JUST had to live there and the model apartment was gorgeous. We signed the lease, got the keys, and opened the door....to my horror, it looked absolutely nothing like the model. the cabinets were wood and kind of dirty, there was HUGE greenish stain on the kitchen floor as if there had been previous water damage, and the window blinds were so disgustingly dirty i wanted to gag just looking at them. I forced myself to stay to avoid lease problems. The landscaping is nice and the managers are nice, but that apartment complex needs some changes.
1. THE LIGHTING- it was a bit too dark around there at night. we lived near a wooded part and it would be soooo dark and creepy walking down that little path to your front door. The light above our apartment building went out for a month and we(neighbors and i) had to constantly remind management to fix this.
2. SAFETY- honestly, i think the rent is too high when it comes to safety. There are no security guards at all patrolling the area even after we got letters from management warning us of people getting robbed @ gunpoint. I HAD TO CALL THE POLICE 3 DIFFERENT TIMES REGARDING A SUSPICIOUS MAN HANGING/LURKING AROUND THE WOODED AREA(VERY CLOSE TO THE FRONT DOORS OF APARTMENTS). HE WAS SMOKING WEED AND STANDING OFF A LITTLE WAYS INSIDE THE WOODS JUST PEERING @ ME AS I WALKED TO MY DOOR. several of my neighbors confessed to seeing this guy on occasion and he was always around @ night. someone stole my husband's hubcaps and my neighbor and i noticed that both of our window screens had been tampered with(we both lived on the bottom floor and we asssumed it may have been the man hanging around at night who did it- none of the upstairs neighbors' windows had been tampered with at all...). on several occasions i would fix my window screen only to come home and see the screen hanging off as if someone was taking it off to get in.
3. DO NOT be fooled by that model apartment. YOUR APARTMENT WILL LOOK NOTHING LIKE IT AND PLEASE REQUEST TO SEE WHERE YOU WILL LIVE BEFORE YOU SIGN THE LEASE.
overall, i liked it at first, then the whole safety issue turned me off completely(especially since i had a young baby at that time). I'm so happy I dont live there anymore!
