First, The Summit has two different sections called "phases". Phase 1 is where the leasing office is and it's upkeep seems pretty good. Phase 2 is a little down the street from Phase 1 and it's upkeep is horrible. Pot holes are everywhere!!! Trash all in the parking areas. Phase 2 has the most break ins an crime. The back area is surrounded by trees! My wife's car was broken in a couple of weeks ago. We were here about 4 months before the free alarm system was activated. I'm not impressed at all. We didn't get the original apartment that we viewed. The one we got ended up having ROACHES! Although pest control came weekly it still took forever to get rid of them. I still occasionally see one! For all the people who say this is the best place to live is telling a lie and it's probably the staff leaving reviews! I don't know how Phase 1 is but please...please...don't rent in Phase 2!

First off, you are crazy for signing a lease on an apartment that you never saw first. Your fault! Second, look at what city you are in. We had our phone number when we moved in so our alarm was set up the same day. Four months seems pretty rediculous on your behalf to wait so long. The alarms were the reason we came in the first place. We came here from one of the [supposed-to-be] upscale parts of town. The apartment had alarms that you had to pay for; our apartment was burglarized the first week; and not to mention the management was horrible. So please don't complain to me about crime in Memphis. I consider it heaven at a fraction of the cost!
