Pretty good place to live

My husband and I moved into The Westbury during summer 2005. We are moving soon because we are relocating out of state, but if we weren't relocating we would probably stay here, and maybe get an upstairs unit with a garage. We looked at several apartments in different parts of town (including Cordova-Wolfchase) and these were the nicest by far. The black appliances, island in the kitchen, and ceramic tile in the bathroom and entryway, are nice touches you don't usually see in apartments in the Memphis area.
Overall, we enjoy living here, but there are some minor issues with these apartments we have experienced: number one being the NOISE from other units in our building. Also, in the winter time you can feel air rushing in from crevices/cracks around the windows; I think they could have done a little better with the construction/insulation of the buildings. Another thing that is bothersome to me is how the bedroom door/closet door opens to each other, so you can't come in the bedroom from that door if the closet is open. Also there's no lock on the bedroom door. Lastly, it would have been nice if they had extended the concrete walkway around the other side of our building - we have to walk through grass, mud, etc. to get to the parking lot unless we walk all the way around the other side of the building.
Overall, I would recommend these apartments, but there are definitely some improvements that could be made.
