Should Be Called "RoachTrails"

This apartment complex is HORRIBLE! If you are a clean, sanitary person who would like to live in a clean, sanitary apartment, don't even look at this place.
When we moved in, we were greeted by little bitty bugs, which we later discovered were baby roaches. Then we started seeing some super large roaches called "sewer roaches."
We complained and management always responded with promises to get rid of the problem. They even made the excuse that that sewer roaches were everywhere and was a city-wide problem. Only once did they admit we had moved into a roach-infested apartment. We lived there for months while they tried spray, bait, and even drilling holes and spraying in the walls, etc. It was so bad that we kept dishes in the refridgerator just so the roaches couldn't get to them.
In addition to the roach infestation, we had nasty neighbors, which probably helped the roach problem along. They would leave their garbage outside of their doors. I mean literally just throw food scraps and egg shells outside the door. We had sewer roaches all over the walkway and raccoons lurking around the doors at night. The neighbors were loud, sitting in their apartments playing their music loud with their doors open. We complained, and management threatened to evict tenants who refused pest control visits, refused to dump the trash in the dumpster, and refused to follow rules---nothing ever happened. Those people were there when we left.
The tenants at Woodtrails are mainly students, and students will live practically anywhere under any conditions. So parents, if your child wants to live at Woodtrails, just say no! There are other student-friendly apartments in Memphis. You don't want them living in the slums for the sake of money.
If you are a student without a car looking to be close to campus, please know unless they tear those apartments down and rebuild from the ground up (not gutting out...tearing all the way down) you will have a problem with roaches and most likely some nasty, worrisome neighbors.
We moved in August to a wonderful complex. We haven't seen a roach yet. The neighbors are clean and quiet. Bottom line...the place has standards. There are lots of students here...and the place is still nice...
