I've lived here for 2 years now and my husband lived here for about 4 before that. He's seen at lease 4 different management teams come through. When he first rented here he liked it b/c they left you alone and quickly dealt with any problems. The units and rent aren't that bad, just old and dingy. The office and model apartment look amazing, but the old brown carpet and tile and cheap paint in our unit always make the place look dirty. But they are roomy and in a good location.
However, this new team managing the apartments, in their frenzied effort to cosmetically improve the place, impose losts of stupid rules and seem fake. There are always notes on the doors passively reminding us of this rule or that, and I just cringe anytime I see something on my door. I don't like living in a place that makes me feel like I'm always breaking rules that I'm not breaking. The other reviews on this page are dead on, in 2002 it was a much better place to live, but not anymore. The most annoying thing that's happened is when I told them we weren't renewing the lease. They clipped a note on my door saying we were breaking the lease and owed a months' rent and forfieted the deposit. Well, it turns out that they incorrectly counted the months in our 6 months' lease and we really weren't breaking it at all. They were genuinely sorry and quick to admit the mistake, but how many other leases did they screw up and how hard is it to count'!
I stayed here b/c I was going to grad school and didn't want to move, but I'm so happy to finally be leaving here! Find a place where the building managers are really friendly and willing to bend over backwards for you. B/c Rosewood will give you a smile and try to help but they really only want your rent checks and new tenants to fill the empty apartments.
